What I did in this photo was make a still life three apples. We used the same skills when we were making the drawings of our faces. the elements I used was balance and shape. I used balance by making sure that they were the correct sizes and having them look around the same size as the original picture. I used shape by making sure that one apple wasn't too small and one as big as a building. These two made an detailed project if a still life of three apples.

This is the Self Portrait Pastel Drawing, what I did was draw my face, neck, and hair. Before we were making portraits without color but this time we did it with pastels and shading. One skill I learned from doing this was how to do correct shading and comparing and contrasting colors. The elements that I used to make this drawing was line, shape, and balance were the main ones. For line I used it to create the outline of my face. For shape I used to create the size of my head and how I measured everything. Lastly I used balance to make sure that the colors worked together with cool, warm, and complementary colors. This project was new to me even though I have done something before only once expanding my knowledge into a better understanding of it. My head was a little bit off, but it was right size, my eyebrows were a little bit offhand so wee my eyes, but they were the right size just a little bit off size. My nose was right size but off center. Otherwise my drawing was mostly the correct size but I just did it off center. This project is just like the inside prespective drawing, but outside. What I did was I took a picture of a few places outside and choose my best one. One skill I used for the work was using the vanishing point and going out from that. The element that I used for this drawing was using line and balance. I used lines because that's what the whole drawing is made from. I also used balance because if it wasn't equal it would be correct fit. By using these elements I was able to create something interesting by just using a photo, pencil, eraser, paper, and a vanishing point. In the photo of my inside hallway, is that we were drawing from a vanishing point and work outward from then, this is called a two-point perspective. One skill I used to learn to be able to do this project was how to make a vanishing point onto a sheet of paper without drawing everything first. The elements I used to help me create this project was using lines, shapes and balance. I used straight lines for everything, and occasionally curved lines. Wee had to create shapes on the floor and to make all the objects to be able to create this project. Also balance because if you were off on one side it would make the other side unequal. By using these three elements we learned how to create a perspective drawing and make a drawing in prespective. In the profile drawing I made my lips correct with the sizes. My chin was also in porportion. What I did wrong was my nose, it didn't really look my actual nose at all, my eyes were good size compared with my head but it didn't look exactly like my eye, there were just in the wrong spot on my face. First Drawing: Comparing to my original picture, some things were off. My left eye was off to the left and my eyebrows are up and to the left. The size of my head was off, I made it to round. My nose was to high and off to the left also. My right eye was just on the original photo. I made my lips to small and off to the right. |
