This is our group coil pot for Senora Wickswat. We made this to hold her pencils on her desk. We glazed this with white and black hoping it would give a little bit of a blue tint (which it kind of did) I made this project with Lindsay S., Bailey, and Michelle. Senora said she loved it!:)
This is my choice 2. I made a bowl for this one too. I really like this project from the glazing. I used black, white, and Sydney blue. On the outside of the bowl is where i used black and white. Then one the inside i poured
this is my bowl 2. This bowl is smaller than my other one but I really like the glazing on this one. I like how the black and the white mix and make that really pretty blue. The art and design elements I used was color to emphasize the blending of the two colors to make a new one. This is special to me because I'm planning on giving it for my mom to use it at work to hold her keys or something in:)
this is my choice 1. For this I made a bowl, I used Sydney blue and dark blue for this. I thought the colors would blend differently than they did. I thought that the colors would overlap and create a new color like in bowl 2, however they didn't. The elements I used was color was because i used two different types of blue. There is also a little bit of line for where the two blues meet. The design elements that I used was movement because it looks like the Sydney blue is melting onto the dark blue. I didn't exactly learn a new skill but i was able to practice my skills of making bowls. I think this project will be used for my bracelets. :) (I know this isnt supposed to be graded until i have all of my projects done but i used wanted to keep this updated with my grading blog)
This is my bowl 1 project. I threw this project on 1/24 then footed it 1/25. I glazed this bowl with white, dark blue, and black. I glazed it by dipping 3 different sides with the sides overlapping so they would make a different color. The art elements that I used was colors by how they but emphasis (design element) of my bowl. There is also movement of the colors where they blend. The new skill I learned was working with a bigger piece of clay and being able to pull the thick wall up until I got the desired length. The meaning of this bowl to me is that I used my favorite colors to blend and I will be able to use it for cereal or something in the morning. :)
